Bad Day at Black Rock Movie Still

Feature Film: Bad Day at Black Rock In-Person

Film noir wasn’t only in black-and-white. Those hardboiled melodramas and detective films from the 1940s and 1950s were sometimes made in color, too.

Come enjoy four dark and gripping tales that even Technicolor can’t cheer up on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

Tonight, witness Bad Day at Black Rock (1955), starring Spencer Tracy and Robert Ryan. When one-armed John Macreedy arrives in a tiny desert town looking for a man named Kamoko, the locals turn on him and force him to fight for his life.

Color Noir: A Film Series runs on July 21 & 28 and August 4 & 11.

This event is free and open to all.
